![]() I'm rating 4 stars instead of 5 mostly because the price is steep for what it is, and to a lesser extent also because there is still no effort for game piece storage, heck, they could have at least provided some silicone elastic bands for the cards or something.anything lol. If, like me, your old style board finally got too worn out and you just want a fresh new copy of the classic Monopoly version you probably played your whole life, this is the one to get. Apart from the money tray and a slightly different style logo on the box, this is no different from any standard Monopoly game I've played before they changed the design. ![]() This board doesn't do anything else to address the shortcomings of this old style board (there's still no convenient storage for the money, cards, and game pieces when the game isn't in use, for example). ![]() The only difference to my most recent board from the mid-2000s is that this one had a slightly easier to use money tray. For any generation older than gen Z, this will almost certainly be the version you grew up with, and is nearly identical to boards I've had from the 70s, 90s, and mid-00s. This poorly named "1980's Edition" is actually just the definitive, standard issue USA edition style of Monopoly that was made through most of its history up until 2008.
